Thanks for bringing this up, it’s been updated to make only one solution viable.
Not sure if The puzzle changed, but D isn’t in a room with a woman on a carpet in your solution though.
The puzzle has changed since it was first published. I removed some carpet, so that the other solution wouldn’t work anymore.

The puzzle is incorrectly worded.
There are multiple solutions unless the clue for Deborah reads “There was ANOTHER woman on a carpet in her room.”
That is, Deborah is a woman, and she could be on a carpet fulfilling the condition.
